Some of these responses may include information that is supplemental to the IST. These questions are intended
to produce reflective thinking beyond the course content and your responses may vary from these examples.

1 Why is spiritual strength an expectation in the life of a minister?

The minister is often seen as God’s voice and will give direction to people concerning God’s will and His Word.
2 What do you understand of God’s call in your own life?
        Personal response

3 Explain the importance of the power of God’s presence in fulfilling ministry tasks.
The work of ministry is building the kingdom of God. This kingdom is supernatural and therefore requires
God’s presence to build it. Pursuing life-change in people is not possible without God’s presence. Only He can
penetrate to the deeper parts of the heart and bring healing and grace needed for new life.

4 Why is the attitude of the heart so important in worshipping God?
The idea of worship is to ascribe worth to God. We cannot truly worship God unless our hearts are focused on
His greatness and our deep need of Him.

6 Why is prayer the essential ingredient in relationship with God?

listening for His voice. It is the means of communication in our relationship with God.
7 In what way can witnessing be a part of one’s devotional life?

A devotional life must include expression of what God has shown us. God pours into us that we might pour out
on others. Witnessing of God’s grace and love can only come from the experience we have in private times with
        God.

8 Do you prefer to spend time with God in the morning or evening? Why?
