These Scriptures suggest some important principles concerning
regeneration:
1. From eternity God willed (desired) our regeneration (Ephesians 1:4).
2. The new birth enables us to live with hope, love, and purity.
3. Our new life will take us into God’s kingdom for eternity.
The following are other terms the Scriptures use to describe
regeneration:
• Crossing over from death to life (John 5:24).
• Becoming a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 6:15).
• Created in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:10).
• Becoming a new self (Ephesians 4:24).
• The Holy Spirit saved us and gave us new life by cleansing us
(Titus 3:5).
