Course Development
David D. Duncan, Sr., has been a missionary with Assemblies of God
World Mission for over forty years. He has served as an educational
consultant with Africa’s Hope in the development of ministerial training
materials for Africa. Before his most recent assignment, Dr. Duncan
and his wife Sondra served in the Marshall Islands at Calvary Bible
Institute and in Brussels, Belgium, and Irving, Texas, at the International
Correspondence Institute where he served as the associate dean for
curriculum development. From 1996 until late 2006, he served with
Specialized Ministries as an adjunct professor in the former Soviet
Union and Africa.
Dr. Duncan holds a B.A. and an M.A. degree in Social Science from
California State University-Fullerton and a Ph.D. in Curriculum and
Instruction from the University of North Texas. He and his wife Sondra,
have four children, who have shared in their missions experiences.
A development team operates under the direction of the Africa’s Hope
Curriculum Committee. Members of the team include: Dr. Carl Gibbs, Dr
Dennis Tyson, and Dr. David Duncan. Others involved in checking the
appropriateness of course content for the target audience and for its
doctrinal treatment include Dr. Edgar Lee, Paul York, and Tim Lord.
