Abundant Life in the Son: A Study of Salvation
Also, we read these words in Philippians 3:20–21:
But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior
from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables
him to bring everything under his control, will transform our
lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.

The Basis of Glorification
We have seen that each aspect of salvation rests on the atoning
work of Christ. Our future glorification is also guaranteed by His death,
resurrection, and intercession.
His death, which is the final effective solution for the problems caused
by people’s sin, has made the following provision:
• God’s righteousness is established (Romans 3:25).
• Reconciliation is made between God and people
(2 Corinthians 5:18–21).
• Purification of sins is accomplished (Hebrews 1:3).
• Redemption is effected (Ephesians 1:7).
